Why are we called 'pDOG'..?
Well.. dogs in our eyes are and should be:
pampered, pretty, precious, prized, pleasing, passionate, playful, prime, proud, polite, pleasurable, polished, perky, posh, peppy, prestine, positive, premium, plenty, proactive, professional, popular, powerful, prestige and prizewinning, , princesses & princes, last but not least.. they are just perfect..!
Mart & Melita
Martin and Melita have been together since they were 15yrs of age. Melita’s mother was a dog trainer & breeder of Dachshunds and Australian Cattle dogs (she is now a breeder of Australian Kelpies), so they both have always been around dogs, not 1 or 2 BUT lots!!
Together in 2017, Martin and Melita established pDOG Lifestyle Centre, a thriving doggy daycare, (grooming salon and grooming academy) where enrichment is integral to daily routines. In 2025, they launched ‘The Barkademy Manual’, contributing to the development of structured enrichment programs and staff training resources that enhance the standards of care in doggy daycares across Australia.
Melita Morrow holds an Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy, a Diploma in Animal Nutrition, a Diploma in Animal Behaviour, and a Certification in Dog Training. She is a canine enrichment expert whose professional journey began in 1989, running a naturopathic clinic for both people and pets.
Her expertise soon extended beyond the clinic, becoming a regular guest on Adelaide’s 5AA radio station, where she shared natural remedies for animals and their humans. Melita has lectured widely, published articles in her field, and gained international experience, including studying behavioural grooming in the USA and later training alongside professional animal handlers with the Great Moscow Circus. This unique combination of clinical knowledge and hands-on animal experience helped shape her genuine, well-rounded understanding of behaviour, trust, and instinct, the kind that only comes from truly listening to animals over many years.
Today, Melita shares her specialised skills with other animal professionals across Australia, especially in the fields of enrichment, grooming, and dog daycare staff training.
Martin brings over 20 years of experience in the natural animal care industry, having managed a successful natural care product manufacturing business in Adelaide. His expertise lies in developing safe, effective animal care products, with a strong emphasis on holistic wellness and nutrition. Collaborating closely with Melita Morrow, he has played a pivotal role in supporting animal well-being through practical, science-informed solutions.
